This morning was a very exciting morning at the Flom's!! I was lying in bed with my hand over my stomach and I was pretty sure I could not only feel the baby inside me but could feel the baby with my hand over my stomach as well. Josh had just gotten out of bed and headed into the bathroom to get ready. As he shut the door I yelled for him to come back and place his hand on my stomach. I said I wasn't sure if he would be able to feel the baby but we were going to try. Sure enough within seconds the baby kicked and Josh's face light up as he asked, "Was that the baby going thump thump?!?!" It sure was! At 24 1/2 weeks Josh was able to feel the baby kicking. It was a great morning here at the Flom's.
I know I promised pictures but we have been so busy!! I will work really hard at getting some up!

Lil Hoot with Taco in Hand.
Welcome to 23 weeks!
I frequently get asked if I crave anything. The only thing I have had desperate cravings for is pie and it doesn't matter what kind of pie. I have never craved pie in my life so I know this is the baby talking.
Besides cravings though I have a few things that are getting me through this pregnancy...
Chipotle
Orange Soda
Rootbeer
Chipotle
Caffeine Free Regular Coke
Pasta
Did I say Chipotle yet?
Yes I have ate Chipotle more times than I can count and everytime I do Lil Hoot moves around like crazy. One day I could hardly finish eating because there was so much movement in my stomach. I am not sure if Lil Hoot is loving it, hating it or just trying to get comfortable since a baby and a burrito have to share some space. And hey when a burrito outweighs you... you gotta but up a good fight!
Not just Chipotle, but all Mexican food is truly what I love to eat these days. Nothing can keep me from a crunchy taco or some nachos deluxe! So if you see me just get out of my way :)
I am anxious to see how our little one grows and to see if the food I am forcing Lil Hoot to eat and drink now will be baby's favorite too or am I over doing it!
I should probably try to get some updated photos for you since I am growing rapdily. The baby is suppose to double in size this month... that means mom is suppose to get quite larger quite fast too. What does that mean again?... my stomach is itching like crazy... my skin is loving this (sarcasm)!!!! Dry weather, growing stomach and my fear of lotion is not a good combination. Oh how I wish I didn't have a phobia of lotion.
On that note... much love to you all and pics coming soon!

21 Week Check Up
On Monday we had our 21 week check up and got to go through the ultrasound results. All we heard was normal, normal, normal.... kinda. Li Hoot looked great and the heartbeat was at 151 at the ultrasound and 150 in the Dr's office again... consistency is good! The doctor also confirmed what the tech thought. We either have a big baby or our due date is wrong. Lil Hoot is in the 60th percentile- that means 60% of all babies at this point are smaller than our Lil Hoot. My prenatals must be working.
When the doctor measured my stomach, I asked her if she thought I was normal or bigger than normal and she said without hesitation that I am slightly bigger than normal. But no concern there since I am still not above my prepregnancy weight. It's all in the belly still. Next appointment will be right before Christmas to do my Gestational Diabetes testing and a routine visit with the Dr.
Nursery Update:
Daddy Hoot has been working super hard to revamp and old dresser we had. With lots of painting I think it is almost done and ready to be moved to the nursery. Once that moves in and the polka dots get painted I can start organizing more.
SILs- you know who you are... Daddy Hoot is wondering when you are coming over to help him paint the polka dots?? He has wine!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!
Much Love,
Mama Hoot

Quick Run To Target.
On Saturday morning I had a few errands to run so I quickly got out of bed , got ready and headed to Target. Target was so busy so I wanted to exchange my stuff and get out of there. While hurrying to the back of the store where the maternity clothes are I quickly walked past a father with his two little boys in the cart.
The one little boy who couldn't be more than 5 pointed his finger at me and yelled.... "Whoa Dad... look at that big belly!!!" The dad looked mortified but I just made sure to laugh as loud as I could so he knew that it was okay... I am pregnant, I have a big belly and I didn't care :) It's funny how things that come out of kid's mouths don't mean the same if they were to come out of a 50 year olds mouth. I am pretty sure an older man told me that same thing the night before and I didn't think it was as funny.
Oh to be a child again and to get away with telling the truth!

20 Weeks- Ultrasound, BREAKDOWN & Flutters
I have been really bad at blogging and I don't have any excuse... so I am sorry.
I am already at the 20 week mark and that means and I am half way there. According to our ultrasound technician I could possibly be closer than half way there. Yes we had an ultrasound on Monday and that was exciting. We got to see the heart, kidneys, brainstem, arms, legs, spine, fingers, face and many beautiful profile shots. Lil Hoot was being quite stubborn though and wouldn't turn around so the Tech had to be a little aggresive with my belly- I am surprised I don't have bruises all over my belly but it was all worth it. We didn't find out the sex of the baby (good work Kassi for making it through the appt if I can say so myself). Well actually even if we wanted to find out baby was not lying in the right position and wouldn't get into the right postition even if we had changed our minds... I guess it is a sign that we will wait and see.
What do you think I am having?
We will go to the Doctor on Monday to go over the results but the Technician let us on with subtle hints that baby looked great. Oh yeah... baby looked so good that our Lil Hoot is 15 ounces!!! My book says next week Lil Hoot should be around 11 ounces so we are a grow'n and she thought April 1st would not be our due date... we will just have to wait and see.
I had my first big emotional breakdown on Sunday. I have been crabby tons (ask Daddy Hoot and my Mom). My mom doesn't even have to wait for me to say anything to know that I am crabby... she says it is in how I hold myself... boy is she good!!!
But Sunday was different. I have been feeling quite worthless... isn't that IRONIC that I feel worthless and without my body we would not be having this baby but nonetheless I felt worthless around my house. Daddy Hoot has been doing so much- painting the dresser, setting up a new computer, a new TV, moving the old entertainment center out and the new one in and much much more and there I am watching. Sunday I decided to get up early and try to start assembling our new computer desk... well I broke many pieces and that was it... I cried all morning long!! The day didn't seem to get better but Monday was a new day and a new attitude.
On to the best note of all... I can feel the baby!!!!! I think of it has taking your hand in a tub full of water and moving your hand through the water... that's what our Lil Hoot feels like. It is so neat and so rewarding that I smile everytime I feel it. I can't wait for Daddy Hoot to feel the baby too.

Happy Halloween!
...I waited until after midnight to post but it still says it is Saturday- no it is Sunday!....
Today is Halloween and then end of October... that makes me sad! We did have a wonderful month and I grew quite a bit. I am still waiting to feel Lil Hoot flutter but as of today- no such luck. I lie in bed whenever I have the chance and try to focus on my lower abdomen hoping to feel the slightest movement. So far I feel nothing but my stomach growling or my bowels moving, both things that I feel EVERYDAY! It will soon come I am sure.
So as I said before and as you know today is Halloween and I have been working long and hard my costume this year. A huge thanks to my Mom, Dad and Kerri for helping me put together my costume. Since I am with child I decided I have Lil Hoot play a part. And was Lil Hoot a hit. Below is a picture of my costume!
............................. new photos coming... sorry..... had to delete the preivous ones...........................
Not only was this a great month for me because October is always a great month for me but it was also a great month for our friends and neighbor Ron, Jessica & Tyler because ... the welcomed a new baby girl into the world on October 28th. Welcome Kylie Jo!!! Isn't she so adorable....
Happy October!!!
